§ 2-79. Employment commitment and compensation of mayor.

The position of mayor shall be a full-time position with the Village of Godfrey. The compensation paid to the person serving as full-time Mayor of the Village of Godfrey shall be such amount as is established from time to time by ordinance, which shall be paid on a monthly basis throughout the term of office of the mayor. The compensation to be provided to the office of mayor shall additionally include health insurance and retirement (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) benefits, and those authorized to be paid for full-time employees of the Village of Godfrey.
