§ 2-54. Quorum; order of business.

  • A quorum for the transaction of business shall consist of a majority of all the trustees entitled by law to be elected. The order of business shall be as follows:

    (1)

    Call to order by presiding officer;

    (2)

    Pledge of allegiance to flag;

    (3)

    Roll call;

    (4)

    Establishment of a quorum;

    (5)

    The reading and approval of the minutes of the proceedings of the previous meeting or meetings;

    (6)

    Reports and communications from officers;

    (7)

    Reports of the standing committees;

    (8)

    Reports of special committees;

    (9)

    Written communications from persons other than village trustees or officials;

    (10)

    First reading of ordinances;

    (11)

    Second reading of ordinances;

    (12)

    Unfinished business;

    (13)

    New business;

    (14)

    President and trustees comments;

    (15)

    Public discussion and/or comments from the floor;

    (16)

    Adjournment.
